We visited Mehmet Efendi for desserts, and it was an absolute delight! The place has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a sweet treat. The desserts were outstanding — rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The service was just as impressive. The staff were friendly and attentive, and Mehedi truly stood out. He was incredibly helpful, recommending the best desserts on the menu — and every one of them was spot on. His warm attitude and great suggestions made the experience even better.

The absolute best baklava you can get (outside of Turkey). Ali was so helpful with his recommendations and the service was excellent. I’m surprised this place isn’t packed constantly. Split four with my friends and it pairs so good with the Turkish coffee. I recommend this place to friends visiting London. Worth going out of your way.

Lovely little gem in the heart of East London. We'd milk cake and some team. It's a bit pricey, but their food is worth it. Their staff was very nice and polite. A must visit turkish sweets and desert shop.

A lovely traditional Turkish desert and drinks place, but it’s much more than this. Situated at the heart of East London near Brick Lane. Beautifully presented from the outside with its display wanting you to come in and treat those sweet taste buds. Beautiful decor and interior with a reminder of you entering the great Grand Turkish bazar with its smell, colour and array of different deserts, sweets, nuts and other savoury and dry Turkish delights and snacks on display. The decor and display is an artwork wanting you to spend time wowing the display. That all we heard ‘wow’ as customers entered the restaurant loving what they saw and the attention to detail and presentation. The staff were very friendly and were proud to show us around and talk about the variety of deserts, sweets and other items of offer to eat, take away or give as a gift. There is plenty of seating for around 100 people over both floor, light, airy and very well light. The decor has traditional Turkish tiles with traditional Turkish wood craving on ceiling and walls. Everywhere you look there is some form of decor or items reminding you of Mehmet Efendi desert boxes, bags, tissue or labels on items. We ordered a mix baklava platter with Turkish coffee and tea. The baklava was fresh, tasted lovely with great flavours and hit all our taste buds. Tea and coffee was as expected a real taste and reminder you are in Turkey/Istanbul. We really enjoyed our experience here today and would highly recommend you visit this place with friends, and family. Look forward to visiting again soon.
